Overall Rating | 1 FDL | |
Type of Site | "Low Impact" Tent Site | |
Easy to find? | No | It doesn't exist, there is no physical place for this site to be. It is somewhere on the Red Dot Trail near the Ranger site. |
Capacity | Who knows? | No structures, no nothin. Not even caves. Who named this site anyway? |
Can you drive to it? | You may be at it right now for all I know! | Baden Owl has asked three rangers about where this site is and has gotten three different answers. |
Water | See the other river sites for water supply. |
If you get water from Ten Mile River, you have to purify it somehow for ALL purposes. |
Latrine | None. | This means trouble if Chefbob makes his chili. |
Biggest Advantage | It can be anything you want it to be. | Use your imagination. |
Secondary Advantage | I have been banging my head for a half hour trying to think of one, but I can't! | My head hurts. |
Primary Disadvantage | This site smells like someone needed a site in a hurry and came up with this. "Just put the troop there, they will never know." | I thought ALL sites in TMR were low impact. Leave no trace and all that. The lady who makes reservations told me no ground fires is what they mean by "low impact." |
Secondary disadvantage | If it is used once a year, it is used too many times. | Go ANYWHERE else. |
