Washington DC, February 2006
For
something a little different during the cold winter months, Troop 170
decided to take a journey down to Washington DC, for a lesson on our Nations
government, as well as some of the excellent sites. We started with
heading to the National Sea and Air Space Museum, followed by a tour of our
Nations Capitol building. Some of the Scouts had never been to DC
before, so this was a real treat. That night we took everyone along the Mall to view many of the monuments and building all lit up. It was bitter cold, but you would never know by the look on the Scouts faces! It was a great time and an educational as well as fun experience! |
