| Easy to find? | Yes | It is right on Route 26. I wish they would let me open a hot dog stand there. |
| Capacity | ~7 Leantos | Leantos generally sleep 4 big fat Scouters with plenty of room. Judge your own unit. |
| Can you drive to it? | Pretty much so | There is a big parking area just off Rt. 26. It is about 100 feet into the site. |
| Water | Over the bridge and up the hill, towards the ranger's house on your right there is a pump | Hand Pump can
be unreliable. Boil water for drinking.
It is about 300 yards from the site. |
| Latrine | Latrine is right in the site | No water. Generally good repair. Mrs. Baden Owl hates this willy however. She says it's "icky". |
| Biggest Advantage | Easy to get to, but still in the middle of nowhere | It is off the road, but still in the middle of the forest. |
| Secondary Advantage | Quiet Pine forest on the shore of trout pond | Rumor has it that there ARE Trout in Trout pond. Baden Owl has only lost lures here. |
| Primary Disadvantage | The leanto fireplaces are completely unusable | The council has made a sincere effort to repair the facilities at Trout Pond. Many of the leantos have been repaired, but the old iron fireplaces in front of the leantos are completely rusted out. They need to be removed. |
| Secondary disadvantage | Sometimes you have to boil the water | Make sure it cools before you drink it! |
