Seton Camping Weekend, October 2004
| Camp Seton is one of Troop 170's favorite camps to go to. We go there for either Tent or Leento camping, and do a number of activities ranging from pioneering to map and compass. This trip consisted of a compass challenge with teams of 2 scouts. We had beautiful weather for the trip and all was going to plan. On Sunday morning, as we were all waking up, we noticed some frantic behavior coming from the site next to us which were cub scouts. We came to find out that a few of the children ran off into the woods and were not coming back. Troop 170 sprang into action within 2 minutes with teams of 2 searching various areas of camp. The children were found safely by one of the parents of the cub scout pack, but were grateful for all of our help. Just another day of camping........ |
