Feeding Plan Dining Hall Dining Hall program loved by some, hated by others.  Sometimes the portions are made for an 11 year olds appetite.  Sometimes, seconds are not forthcoming.  Big dining hall, could seat over 400 in its heyday.  It can get hot, rowdy and boring, particularly if the songs stink.
Type of Sites Tents only Over half of the sites are on the other side of the lake and require a tremendous amount of walking to get where the action is.
Swimming Facility Lake Nianque Nianque means "the wild cat" in Lenape.  A smaller lake, but very cute.  Look for "Big Moe", the legendary giant turtle living in the lake.  It's TMR's answer to the Loch Ness Monster.
Boating Facility Lake Nianque Canoes, rowboats, sailboats.
Unique program item in Camp Climbing wall The kids love it!
Parking Facility Central parking lot, no where near anything The parking lot is not near the office, or your site, or the dining hall.  They make you park about a quarter of a mile away from the office, in the middle of nowhere.  They are also very strict about car access in sites.
Water Available right in your site As with all TMR summer camp sites, wash stand, water fountain and water spigot will be right in your site.
Latrine Pit style latrine in each site.
Shower Facility Central shower house for scouts, brand new New shower house for the Scouts.  The adults shower house can be a bit "skeevy", as it is older and smells of fungus.
Biggest Advantage The sites give units a lot of privacy One says privacy, some say the sites are near nothing.
Secondary Advantage The program areas are basically all on the one field near the office There are some notable exceptions.  The rifle range is WAY the heck out.  Baden Owl found a lost Japanese soldier on his way to the rifle range who thought the war was still on.  Bring a canteen, or a mule train.
Primary Disadvantage The troops who go there are the most "cliquish" on the reservation They have been going there for years and years.  If you are not one of them, your on the outside.  Since Baden Owl camped here as a child, this is particularly distressing to him.
Secondary disadvantage The sites are all over the place. There used to be a barge across the lake.  No more.  Lots and lots of program time is wasted "schlepping around".  Baden Owl likes to hike, but his knees, ankles and legs hurt after one day of doing laps between his site and where the program areas are.
