Overall Rating 2 FDL
Capacity 14 I think.
Kitchen Facilities 4 burner stove. There is no oven.  Don't plan on doing a Turkey.
Surroundings It is the cabin where the Director of Camp Keowa lives during the summer. It is right in the middle of Camp Keowa.
Heat Gas heat and BIG fireplace. Former Ranger Ed "no big toe" once told Baden Owl, "That fireplace has a good draft, if you can fit in there, it will burn."
Water Water piped right to your cabin. And they call it "camping."
Toilet Situation Flush toilet with a shower. It is the same as the Camp Director uses.
Biggest Advantage Right in the middle of Camp Keowa. There is a forest, a field, and a lake right nearby.  The Red Dot Trail passes right in front of it.
Secondary Advantage Reid Field. This is the biggest open field in TMR.  (I think)  All sorts of unique programs can be done on Reid field; from football, to star gazing, to orienteering.  You are limited only by your imagination.
Primary Disadvantage Minimal insulation. This is a log cabin.  They did not insulate the inside when they "winterized" it.  Baden Owl could feel the wind inside this cabin in the summer, imagine what it must feel  like in 4 below zero.  One of the B.O.'s owlettes was there on such a weekend and he said he was never warm.
Secondary Disadvantage No oven. There was an oven there when it was only a directors cabin.  What did they do with it?  Plan meals accordingly.
