Emergency Preparedness Weekend, May 2001
| Troop 170 is
big on service projects. We often like to help out with community organizations,
as well as district scouting events that need our help. John Farell
from Brooklyn organized this great event which basically went through all
of the requirements for the Emergency Preparedness merit badge.
Stations were set up and were manned by people knowledgeable in each skill
area.
Troop 170 provided assistance in some of the skill stations and was put in charge of something that 170 in infamous for, the FOOD! Over 100 scouts both young and old participated in this event and Troop 170 put out a spread for the main dinner that Emiril Lagassi himself would be proud of. |
